Phoenix Flies Tour (Druid Hills Presbyterian Church)

This church was designed by Francis P. Smith in 1936. Last year's tour featured an "in progress" view of renovations to the 1940 Gothic sanctuary. Come now to see the finished product and learn how the updates have improved the space functionally, visually and acoustically! Reconfigured pews provide better circulation, comfort, access and flexibility. A new slate floor provides a classic, coherent look. The restored hand-crafted Willet Studio stained glass windows are not to be missed. And, to top it all off, the magnificent and historic Aeolian-Skinner organ was cleaned and restored. Enjoy an "organ crawl" and a brief recital.

Free and open to the public. Reservations are not required for this event.
This event is partially accessible to individuals with physical disabilities. For questions call 404-688-3353.  This event is appropriate for young preservationists over 10 years of age. Church website http://dhpc.org  click for Map
