Mega Millions Rolls to Bigger Jackpot

Lottery game nears $300 million for Friday's drawing.

By Patch Editor Liz Kennedy

Fortunately for you there were no winners in Tuesday's Mega Millions jackpot, which means Friday's drawing increases to an estimated $291 million to a single annuity winner.

The jackpot that began rolling Oct. 4, has rolled 17 times, according to the Georgia Lottery.

If someone wins on Friday, that lucky person can either choose to receive an annuity of 30 payments over 29 years, or a single lump sum cash payment.

Which payment option are you choosing?

Mega Millions jackpot winners can select their payment preference at the time of their prize claim.

On Monday, Dec. 2, Atlanta groundskeeper Lavoris Harris, 30, won $400,000 in the Lucky Streak instant game.

As we all know it only takes $1 to play Mega Millions for a chance to win big.

Will you be buying a Mega Millions lottery ticket for Friday's drawing?
