We are in the process of installing four (4) EV charging stations at Emory Point. Two (2) stations on level 1 of the retail portion of the deck and two (2) stations on level 4 of the residential portion of the deck. These should be installed and operation within the next 2-3 weeks.

Emory Point is a mixed-use development on Clifton Road, across from the entrance to the Centers for Disease Control.

The special parking spaces equipped with electrical outlets are popping up all over metro Atlanta. CBS Atlanta reported last month that Manuel's Tavern has installed car charging stations in the parking area directly behind the building.

Lenox Square Mall and Atlantic Station have also installed charging stations.

Nearby, the Ponce City Market development is slated to get a charging station, according to a release from Lanier Parking Solutions.

Some current models of electric cars, such as the Nissan Leaf, can travel about 70 miles before they need to be recharged, according to the website Green Car Reports. Chevrolet says its Volt gas-electric hybrid averages 900 miles between fill-ups when it is charged regularly.
