Virginia-Highland Tour of Homes Set for December

Organizers looking for volunteers

Virginia-Highland is known for beautiful homes along historic Atlanta streets, and in December, eight homeowners will open their doors for the annual tour of homes.

The two-day Virginia-Highland Tour of Homes, which began in 1972 with the Virginia-Highland Bungalow Tour, will feature tours of eight homes in the neighborhood and food tastings by , , , Goin’ Coastal, , , , and Whole Foods.

The walking tour will take visitors around historic Virginia-Highland streets such as St. Louis Place, Ponce de Leon Place, Virginia Circle and Virginia Avenue.

Tickets are $25 in advance for one day or $30 for the weekend.

Proceeds from the event benefit parks and local initiatives in Virginia-Highland.

Organizers are still looking for volunteers to welcome visitors into homes on the tour, check tickets and answer questions.

About half the volunteer spots have been filled, organizers said Monday night, and anyone interested in volunteering can sign up on the Tour of Homes website.
