My great mentor and friend, Tom Murphy, was instrumental in helping me put this deal together, and all his years of incredible support have meant more to me and my family than I can ever describe.  Tom, as I've said so many times before..."I owe you one!"

It's been so nice to see many of you stop by the shop over the past few weeks as the excitement from the neighborhood has been incredible!

The Highland Wine and Crystal Shop is a perfect location as there is dedicated parking in front of the store and a very "open" shopping feel. Across the street from Rosebud Restaurant and just a few doors up from Alon's and The Family Dog, we're already getting to know our neighbors well!

You may have some questions about the new operation so I've included some answers in Q&A format.

Q: Who's that other guy with you?

A: John Driscoll is a fellow wine guy and my business partner.  Together, we have over 25 years of experience in Atlanta retail wine establishments. Owning this store is a dream come true for both of us and I've included some additional info about John and his family further down in the message.

Q: Will you keep the 6 bottles for $75 monthly wine club going?

A: YES! Highland Wine and Crystal's wine club is one of Atlanta's most successful wine clubs and we've been working hard on this month's selections.  If you're interested in learning about the club, send a reply to nick@highlandfinewine.com and I'll send you some info!

Q: Will you still send out emails on special wines and tasting events?

A: Yes! I have the full support of Murphy's to continue sending out the announcements on Wine Specials, Winemaker Tastings, and other events as they come along!

Q: Will you still be able to Special Order wines as you have in the past?

A: Absolutely! The new shop provides greater convenience for Special Order Pick-ups!

Q: Will you be able to hold special wine tasting events?

A: Yes! As many of you know, sharing winemaker and producer relationships with our customers is one of our greatest joys and we plan to hold regular tasting events as a way to add context to the overal wine experience.

Q: Will you be changing the name?

A: Not immediately, but we may do so in the future. We'd like to keep "Highland" in the name as everyone in the neighborhood has been so supportive of the shop!

This shop is a dream come true for me, and I'm looking forward to seeing many of you soon!

Thank you again!

-Nick
