APD Releases Name of Ponce de Leon Shooting Victim

Few fresh details of Friday afternoon's shooting at Ponce and Moreland have been released.

 

The Atlanta Police Department has identified the victim of the Friday afternoon shooting at Ponce de Leon and Moreland Avenue as Graham Sisk, 23.

Atlanta police say they belive that Sisk was targetted by his attackers and that the crime was not random.

The brazen, daylight shooting at a busy intersection has shocked many in the Virginia-Highland/Druid Hills community.

According to an APD news release, Sisk was traveling northbound on Moreland Ave approaching Ponce De Leon when "suspects approached him and fired multiple times. ...It appears that there may be two suspect vehicles and multiple suspects involved."

So far, police have not released descriptions of the suspects or their vehicles, though a gas station attendant at the Exxon station at the intersection said she saw a dark-colored pickup truck speed away.

Investigators are asking that anyone with information on the incident call Atlanta Police Homicide Investigators at 404-546-4235 or call Crime Stoppers at 404-577-8477. Callers can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a reward of up to $2000.
