APD Seeks Man Who Threatened Woman at Piedmont Park
Man reportedly threatened to rape a woman in broad daylight last week.
Atlanta police have released a sketch of a suspect who reportedly attempted a sexual attack on a woman last week in Piedmont Park.
As reported at Midtown Patch, a woman was near the lake around 2 p.m. on Dec. 6 when a clean cut black male approached her and allegedly said, “I wanna rape you, you sl***t” in what she described as “a despicable voice.”

According to the APD spokesman John Chafee, the woman immediately ran away in the direction of a pair of Piedmont Park Conservancy workers. Those two men followed the suspect until he got near Grady High School, where they witnessed the man change shirts before losing sight of him.
The suspect is described as a black male in his early 30s with brown eyes, average build and standing approximately 6-foot-2.
