Atlanta Carjacking Victim Takes Gun, Shoots Attacker

Incident happened Saturday night in the Poncey-Highland neighborhood.

A carjacking victim turned the tables on her attacker Saturday night in the Poncey-Highland neighborhood.

As 11Alive reports, the woman reportedly was getting in her car on Blue Ridge Avenue when Sebastian Fontana attempted to carjack her at gunpoint.

As he struggled with her car’s manual transmission, the suspect placed the gun on his lap. That’s when the victim grabbed the gun and attempted to get out of the vehicle.

As he attempted to prevent her from exiting the vehicle, he bit her twice. That’s when she shot him.

Fontana remains hospitalized from his shooting injuries and according to police is facing several charges including assault, battery, kidnapping and hijacking of a motor vehicle.
