Car Wreck on Briarcliff Sends Mother and Child to Hospital

Both were taken to Grady Hospital with head and neck injuries

An SUV smashed into a pole on the 900 block of Briarcliff Road on Monday afternoon, sending the driver and her child to the hospital.

Both victims sustained head and neck injuries and were transported to Grady Hospital, according to police.

The child was originally reported trapped inside the car, but police on the scene said the child was pulled out of the car when they arrived.

Police were dispatched to the scene around 1:43 p.m. and arrived five minutes later.
