Crime Report: Man Reported Unconscious in Virginia-Highland Parking Lot

Crime report for Tuesday, May 15

Around 7:39 a.m. on Tuesday, May 15, a caller reported a man sitting in his car in the parking lot behind Genki Sushi, 1040 North Highland Ave. The caller said the man had taken pills and drank unknown amounts of alcohol.

Police said the man was unconscious and was transported to the hospital.

At press time, an update on his medical condition was unavailable.

The following is a small sample of calls for service to the Atlanta Police Department on Tuesday, May 15:

12:31 p.m.: A suspicious person was reported near Saint Charles Place and Ponce de Leon Avenue.

2:05 p.m.: A person was pulled over for reckless driving at Glen Iris Drive and North Avenue.

3:17 p.m.: A worker at Gerber Collision and Glass, 2441 Cheshire Bridge Rd., told police a man walked out of the store without paying for $2,000 of merchandise.

7:02 p.m.: A suspicious person was reported near Freedom Parkway and North Avenue.

11:09 p.m.: A car was broken into near Saint Charles Avenue and N. Highland Avenue.
