Fulton County Crime and Safety Summit Thursday

Experts will offer valuable information on the ways the public, law enforcement, courts and lawmakers can tackle neighborhood crime.

Responding to the concerns of residents in several areas of our county, Fulton County Board of Commissioners Chairman John Eaves will host a forum featuring judges, prosecutors and the Chiefs of Police from both Fulton County and the City of Atlanta. The group will gather to tell neighbors ways they can potentially prevent crime.

WHEN: Thursday, March 6, 2014, 7:00 P.M.

WHERE: Cascade United Methodist Church, Fellowship Hall, 3144 Cascade Road, S.W., Atlanta, GA 30311

Residents will get a chance to speak to a panel that is scheduled to include:

- Chairman John Eaves, Ph.D., Chairman, Fulton County Board of Commissioners
- Chief Judge Gail S. Tusan, Superior Court of Fulton County
- Chief Judge Bradley J. Boyd, Fulton County Associate Juvenile Court
- Paul L. Howard, Jr., Fulton County District Attorney
- Ceasar Mitchell, Atlanta City Council President
- Chief George Turner, Atlanta Police Department
- Chief Cassandra Jones, Fulton County Police Department
- Chief of Police Felipe Usury, Fulton County Schools

Citizens will get an opportunity to ask panelists questions about recent crime issues in our community. Experts will offer valuable information on the ways the public, law enforcement, courts and lawmakers can tackle this problem.
