Man Robbed Outside Wells Fargo

Weekly crime report includes reports of thefts, robberies

A man was robbed outside Wells Fargo on Monroe Drive, according to a police report.

The victim told police his money bag was stolen after he walked out of the bank around 2:30 p.m. on Dec. 2.

The man took the money bag with $300 and ran toward his car parked at Ansley Mall, the victim told police.

According to the police report, the suspect was also a customer at the bank and attempted to cash a fraudulent check before the robbery. 

The following crime report was sent electronically to all Lindridge/Martin Manor residents on Sunday, Dec. 11.

Other Larceny

1172 LaVista Rd NE; Nov. 17 (incident reported Nov. 29)

Victim called the precinct and advised someone stole her camera. She stated she had a gathering at her residence on 11/17 and could not locate the camera after that.

Residential Burglary

1600 block of Woodland Ave. SE; Nov. 28 between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m.

Someone kicked in basement door to location and stole listed property. A neighbor advised she saw a B/M take victim's garbage can with a yellow sheet covering it.

Theft From Auto

2400 block of Cheshire Bridge Rd. NE; Nov. 27, Nov. 28

Victim is rental car company

Someone stole catalytic converter from vehicle, 2010 Ford Econoline. Location has no video surveillance.

2100 block of Lenox Rd. NE; Nov. 29 between 1:30 and 1:45 a.m.

2000 Ford F-150

Someone entered vehicle and stole listed property. Victim stated he locked the vehicle, but no forced entry stated. Victim stated this isn't the first time it's happen. Cameras are available at location.

2000 block of Liddell Dr. NE; Nov. 26 between 4 and 5 p.m.

Futo's Wrecker lot

1999 Ford Explorer

Victim (employee) advised someone stole listed property from her vehicle. No forced entry, vehicle left unlocked. Victim stated she had an argument with a customer over not being able to release her vehicle. Victim believes the males that were with suspect took the property while she was arguing with the female customer. No one witnessed the theft.

Pedestrian Robbery

1700 block of Cheshire Bridge Rd. NE; Nov. 27 between 3:15 and 3:30 a.m.

Weapon: Piece of glass (possibly)

Victim advised he was sitting on the steps at location when suspect  approached asking about another guy that lives there. Victim stated suspect was rude and became aggressive when he said he didn't know anything about the male he was inquiring about. Victim said they started arguing and suspect began to jab at him with an unknown object. Victim advised the argument became physical and he pushed suspect in the bushes. Suspect's friend was approaching and when victim turned towards him suspect struck in the head several times with an item that looked like a long piece of glass. Suspect took victim's property during the altercation and fled location. Victim had visible injuries to his head and was bleeding, but refused EMS.
