Police: Victim Drives Armed Robber To Virginia-Highland Home

Late night pedestrian robbery reported Sunday morning

A man pumping gas at the at 1161 Ponce De Leon Ave. late Saturday night was approached by another man with a handgun asking for money, according to police.

The victim told the man he didn't have cash, but offered to drive him to his nearby home on Virginia Court to give the man money, a police spokesman told Patch.

The victim gave the man two Target watches, $198 and his cell phone, which police said the suspect demanded.

According to the victim, the suspect then said he would return the cell phone after he was dropped off at the intersection of North Ave. and Boulevard, but failed to follow through on his word.

Atlanta Police received a call about the "pedestrian robbery" Sunday around 1:30 a.m.

The police are looking for a suspect that they describe as an older man that goes by the name of Frits Jackson.
