An unwatched purse draped over the back of a chair in a public place is a real invitation to have it stolen. And, is it really necessary to have $1700 in cash for a night on the town?

Sounds like the victim just needs to pick her friends better. Stop blaming the victim. I know it wasn't the smartest move on her part, but she was not waving the money around as an invitation to rip her off.

Either she pays her rent in cash, is a landlord and just got paid in cash, or was about to buy a pile of drugs!
