Trio Robbed Near Grady High

The gunman escaped with others by car.

Three people were robbed at gunpoint Friday night as they walked through the Midtown Neighborhood near Grady High School.

According to Atlanta Police Officer John Chafee, the three victims – two men and a woman – were walking in the area of Vedado Way and 8th Street around 11:30 p.m. when a dark-colored Honda Civic passed by them with the headlights off.

The victims were able to see three people inside the vehicle but were unable to initially make out a detailed description of the suspects.

Not long after, one of the male suspects got out of the car and approached the victims, who later told police that the man was “wearing dark colored clothing, a black hoodie, and a black skully face mask with a white skeleton printed on the front.”

The suspect reportedly was holding a silver handgun and demanded the victim’s money, ultimately taking two wallets and a purse, before re-entering the car that then sped off.
