Interim DeKalb CEO Lee May is among the speakers on the agenda for Tuesday night's town hall meeting about Druid Hills cityhood and annexation options.

This meeting explores options for the Druid Hills neighborhood should the City of Lakeside become a reality. The Lakeside City Alliance is working to create a city, which would exclude Druid Hills, in central DeKalb County.

Speakers will include Allen Venet, chair, City of Briarcliff Initiative; Duriya Farooqui and Hans Utz of the Office of the Mayor, City of Atlanta; Lee May, acting CEO, DeKalb County; and Matthew Lewis of the Druid Hills Charter Cluster. Presenters will be available to answer questions from the audience, said Mike St. Louis, chair, Committee to Explore Druid Hills Cityhood Options.

The notice on the Druid Hills Civic Association website says:
Join your neighbors to learn about viable plans and options. Discuss and share your views on a matter of extreme urgency! Our community must determine its own future.

This important meeting will also feature an update on the Druid Hills Charter Cluster initiative.

The meeting takes place on Tuesday, Aug. 20, 7-9 p.m. at Glenn United Methodist Church on the Emory University campus at 1660 North Decatur Road. Come early as registration begins at 6:30 p.m.
