Local Day Cares Failed to Meet Standards, Continued to Recieve State Money

An AJC investigation shows the state continues to fund day cares that fail to meet standards

A recent Atlanta Journal-Constitution investigation shows the state gave more than $355 million in subsidies over the past four years to day care centers that failed to meet child-care standards.

A closer look at the database compiled by the AJC shows day care centers in our neighborhood are among the many programs that received money from the state after failing health and safety standards.

The following child-care programs received subsidy money from the state the same year they failed to meet childcare regulations:
