Mayor Kasim Reed recently announced that the City of Atlanta will undertake a new effort to significantly reduce street homelessness.

The first step in this process is to gather as much information as possible about the current state of homelessness in Atlanta. The Office of University-Community Partnerships (OUCP) at Emory University has designed a survey to collect information about homelessness in Atlanta—and we are asking for your personal input.

The survey responses will be used to write a comprehensive report on the state of homelessness in Atlanta. The report will be used by the City of Atlanta to develop new approaches and concrete responses to alleviate homelessness in Atlanta. It will also be made available to other interested parties including area governing bodies, organizations, and curious community members.

Please take some time to fill out the homelessness survey at the following link: http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/RB98K63

The questions in the survey are designed to cover many different aspects of homelessness. While every question may not seem relevant to your work, please fill out as many of the questions as you can. Each response is valuable.

All responses will be confidential and anonymous - we will not collect identifying information such as your name, email address or IP address. Again, to help protect your confidentiality, the survey will not contain information that will personally identify you or your agency or organization.

The survey results will be combined with other research and used to write a final report on homelessness in Atlanta. This report will be compiled from the work of researchers at Emory University, Georgia Tech University, Clark Atlanta University, Georgia State University, and the Mayor’s Innovation Delivery Team.

Thank you in advance for your participation!
