DeKalb Schools Now on Twitter

Twitter is the district's first effort to engage in social media

The DeKalb County School District communication department is extending its’ reach to Twitter and YouTube.

The twitter page — @DeKalbSchools — is the district’s first effort to engage in social media.

Both pages will post up-to-the-minute district information and news about student achievement.

“DeKalb’s social media channels will be about students, which is why our
very first posts will celebrate them,” Superintendent  Cheryl Atkinson said in a statement. “There are miracles that happen in our schools every day. These new channels will showcase those miracles for the community and remind us all why we’re here — to promote learning and student success.”
