Camp Orion for ADHD and Aspergers Summer 2012
Camp Orion 2012 is a special needs day camp for children who have neurobehavioral challenges including ADHD, Asperger's and anxiety.
Camp Orion offers a positive camp experience with a focus on social skills and self esteem for children ages 5-13. Four 1-week thematic weeks with high interest activities have a 4:1 camper to teacher ratio. Skill building activities foster growth in managing frustration, expressing needs and emotions, understanding social cues, sport skill development, and making friends.
Hours: 9:00am-3:00pm M-F
Camp Fee: $415 per week

Camp Orion 2012 thematic weeks:
“Science FUNdamentals” June 4th – June 8th
Investigate science concepts during a week of chemical reactions, concoctions, kitchen sink experiments, inventions, and natural wonders!
“Building & Connecting”June 11th – 15th
Spend a week building team and social connections through food creations, Legos, Bionicles, art construction and cooperative games!
“Sensory Adventures”June 18th – 22nd
Explore human senses, amazing animal senses, and how we use our senses to communicate and build relationships during a week of experiential discovery!
Water Week June 25th – 29th
Splashy camp fun is created when water is added to balloons, rockets, bubbles, art projects and cool sporty activities!
“Orion Camp Standout”(All four weeks)
NEW this year is Camp Standout which parallels Orion’s camp program yet is tailored for rising 6th & 7th graders. High interest camp activities are geared towards the developmental needs of emerging teens.
