Inman Middle Students Need Donations, Sponsorships for Jekyll Island Trip

Editor's note: Inman Middle School has an annual field trip to Jekyll Island, but a large portion of the student body can't afford the cost of the trip. Two Inman parents, Regina Brewer and Dedra Evans, are seeking sponsors for the seventh grade class.

Many of the students at Inman Middle cannot afford to pay for all or even a portion of the annual field trip to Jekyll Island.  This year, the need was even greater and we are asking for support from the communities that feed into Inman Middle School.  No student is denied but the school cannot afford to cover all the costs for those students in need.  See below for information on how you can help all the students at Inman Middle school receive the best educational opportunities.

Sponsor a 7th Grader for Jekyll!

Each year, the 7th grade team takes their students on a field trip to Jekyll Island in South Georgia.  This trip is very engaging and deeply connected to their science curriculum. The 7th grade teachers, school administration, and PTA work hard so all students can attend. However, the field trip is very early in the school year which poses great challenges in raising the necessary funds to ensure everyone can attend. The PTA is working with the school to determine a viable, sustainable solution. For this year, if you would like to sponsor or partially sponsor a student on this trip, you can do so online by following this link. Thank you for supporting the Inman community!

Ms. Brewer and Ms. Evans are residents of Inman Park and Old Fourth Ward, respectively.
