Report: DeKalb Schools Settles Racial Discrimination Suit Against Fernbank

WSBTV reports discrimination suit was settled last month

A racial discrimination suit filed against DeKalb County Schools and last year was settled last month, according to a report by WSBTV.

KiKi Finch, the owner of Happy Times Childcare, filed the lawsuit after she and a group of 11 black students were kicked out of a picnic area at the science center in September 2010.

Finch told WSBTV last year that "it was definitely racial discrimination" because minutes after they were asked to leave the area, she saw a group of white students eating there.
