Two Surveys Seek Public Input About Atlanta Public Schools

Two surveys ask the public for input on the superintendent search and board of education communication

Atlanta Public Schools stakeholders are being asked to take two separate surveys to give feedback to the board of education and a local nonprofit that advocates for the Grady High School cluster.

The Council of Intown Neighborhoods and Schools, a nonprofit that has advocated for the Grady High School cluster for 32 years, is asking stakeholders to complete a survey about the APS superintendent search.

The survey is 17 questions, and the results will be shared with the board of education and the third-party search firm that will help with the search.

All residents of the Atlanta Public School district are welcome to participate — you do not need to have children in the district to complete the survey.

The APS board of education is also asking stakeholders to take a separate survey.

The school board is seeking feedback on “communication,” which was that SACS said the board needs to improve in order for high schools in the district to remain accredited.

The APS survey ends March 11.

The results of both surveys will be available once the results are compiled.
