You watch the Thursday meeting between the State Board of Education and the DeKalb County Board of Education live at your computer.
State Rep. Scott Holcomb posted information on his website saying the meeting will be webcast at 1 p.m.
The meeting puts the DeKalb school board on the hotseat.
They are being asked to offer reasons why the school system should not lose its accreditation. The Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS), the district's accrediting agency, recently put the school system on probation.
An investigation by SACS officials found fiscal mismanagement, abuse of power and unethical hiring practices. Gov. Nathan Deal is under pressure from parent groups to fire the entire board.
