Dogwood Invite Features Top Amateur Golfers at Druid Hills Golf Club

Top amateur golfers returning to this summer's Dogwood Invitational in Druid Hills were announced.

The Dogwood Invitational at Druid Hills Golf Club, an internationally ranked top amateur golf event that began in 1941, announced today the 15 former Dogwood players to watch in the 2014 Masters Tournament.

The Dogwood has hosted countless Masters players in its eight-decade history, most notably last year’s Masters champion, Adam Scott.

Known in the Southeast as the “crystal ball of golf” for its tale-telling fortunes of future golf professionals, The Dogwood has evolved into a “must play” event for amateur golfers.

Past players participating in the 2014 Masters include: Roberto Castro, Harris English, Lucas Glover, Bill Haas, Dustin Johnson, Chris Kirk, Matt Kuchar, Marc Leishman, Hunter Mahan, Michael McCoy (amateur), Patrick Reed, Adam Scott, Webb Simpson, Brandt Snedeker and Gary Woodland.

The 48th annual tournament will be held June 23-28 at Druid Hills Golf Club. Proceeds from sponsorships are directed to the Atlanta Junior Golf Association and The Wayne Reynolds Scholarship Foundation.
