Emory Men Remain Undefeated

The men’s basketball team remains undefeated about halfway through the regular season.

The Eagles are 12-0, which is the best start in school history.

Last weekend, Emory pulled out a huge win 83-81 against conference rival Rochester to open up University Athletic Conference play.

Senior guard Austin Claunch, who was named UAA Basketball Co-Player Of The Week, scored 27 points on Saturday against Rochester (9-3).

Sophomore forward Jake Davis had 20 points and 11 rebounds and senior guard Alex Gulotta hit three baskets from the three-point line.

The Eagles travel to New York University on January 13 and Brandies University on January 15 to continue conference play.

Emory Women Fall to Rochester in Conference Play

The Emory lady Eagles fell to Rochester 76-64 on Saturday.

Sophomore guard Hannah Lilly had 21 points and 7 rebounds in the loss. Junior forward Misha Jackson scored 10 points and 8 rebounds.

In nonconference play, the Emory pulled out a nailbitter 56-53 against Maryville College (5-5) on Monday to improve to 9-3 for the season.

The lady Eagles also travel to New York University on January 13 and Brandies University on January 15 to continue conference play.
