Paideia School senior MaryKathryn Terry, a sprinter, has signed with Georgia Tech to swim starting in the Yellow Jackets’ 2013-14 season.
Terry will swim on the team at the Georgia Tech Aquatic Center, where she has turned in outstanding performances in the past. She scored two fifth place finishes in the 50 and the 100 free at the 2013 GHSA 1-5A State Swimming and Diving Meet. She went 24.19 in the 50 and 52.00 in the 100, both record-breaking performances for Paideia. In addition, she claims school records in the 200 and 500 free events and the 100 fly.

She is a member of the Dynamo Swim Club in Atlanta. Her best short course times are 24.19/51.9/1:52.5 in the 50/100/200 free and 58.4 in the 100 fly. Terry’s 50 and 100 times are very close to Georgia Tech’s Top 10 list and she should be a welcome addition to the team.
