What is MARTA's Schedule for the Martin Luther King Jr. Holiday?

A few buses in Atlanta will be rerouted for MLK Day activities on the streets.

MARTA announced it will operate a Saturday rail and bus schedule on Monday, Jan. 20 for the Martin Luther King Jr. Holiday. It will also temporarily re-route several bus routes for special events on Monday.

Red and Gold Lines

Rail service will run every 20 minutes on the Red and Gold Lines. After 9 p.m., southbound Red Line trains will turn back at Lindbergh Center. Customers on the Red Line wishing to travel further south must transfer to a southbound Gold Line train at Lindbergh Center.

Blue and Green Lines

Blue and Green Line trains will operate every 20 minutes. Green Line trains will continue from Bankhead to King Memorial until 9 p.m., when Green Line trains will operate only between Bankhead and Vine City.

Bus Service

Bus service will operate on a regular Saturday schedule, with the exception of the following temporary reroutes:

  • For the MLK Day 5K run/walk, Route 99 will be rerouted from 7 a.m.-noon
  • Routes 16, 99 and 110 will be rerouted from noon-5 p.m. for the 2014 Martin Luther King, Jr. Day March and Rally

 The Reduced Fare offices and Lost & Found office will be closed on the holiday; the Five Points information booth will also be closed.

The RideStores at the Airport and Five Points will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
