1. Ten Thousand Villages. This store at 1056 St. Charles Ave. NE is, according to its website, "a fair trade retailer of artisan-crafted home decor, personal accessories and gift items from across the globe." Volunteers will greet and interact with customers, unpack orders, assist with displays and operate the cash register. A four-hour shift per month is requested.

2. Wellspring. This group helps survivors of childhood sexual abuse and has a second-hand shop at 784 North Highland Ave. NE.

3. Open Hand. Based in Buckhead, this nonprofit says it "helps people prevent or better manage chronic disease through Comprehensive Nutrition Care™, which combines home-delivered meals and nutrition education as a means to reinforce the connection between informed food choices and improved quality of life."
