Fernbank Elementary serves pupils in pre-kindergarten through fifth grade. It uses the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme, one of three prestigious programs offered by the International Baccalaureate (IB). Teachers at Fernbank officially began using the curriculum in 2008.
Fernbank is a feeder school for Shamrock Middle School and Druid Hills High School.
