Peggy Still Johnson has been named as the new executive director. Previous executive director Sam Goldman passed away in September after more than 30 years of service to Callanwolde.
Callanwolde officials released this announcement on Jan. 28: The Callanwolde Foundation Board of Directors and Callanwolde Fine Arts Center staff cordially welcome Peggy Still Johnson as their new Executive Director beginning February 4th, 2013. Peggy Still Johnson is not a newcomer to business or the arts – she is a successful entrepreneur and an accomplished piano and vocal performer, composer, arranger, and arts educator. She attended Brigham Young University and Georgia State University, where she received a Bachelor of Music degree, magna cum laude. Recipient of the Champion Award from the Entrepreneur Network at Georgia State University, she has also been inducted into Phi Beta Kappa, Pi Kappa Lambda Music Honor Society, Phi Kappa …

Callanwolde Fine Arts Center is gearing up for a big summer, including the 13th year of their Jazz on the Lawn music series.
Get your blankets and picnic baskets ready and head over to the Callanwolde Fine Arts Center for their popular Jazz on the Lawn series, which starts on June 15 with a performance by Serenata. Serenata is an Atlanta-based seven-piece group led by Luis Cordero that performs samba, salsa, Latin jazz and other genres. Their concert will start at 7:30 p.m. out on the lawn, but if it rains, the concert moves indoor to the Indoor Courtyard. Buy tickets online for $15 by clicking here.
