Postal Service Deadlines for Christmas
Time is running out to make sure packages and letters are in the mail before Christmas.
The Postal Service has some advice for people who want to make sure that their packages and letters will arrive at their destinations before Christmas. If you are using First-Class Mail, Thursday, Dec. 20 is the last recommended day for mailing to have the correspondence reach its destination by Christmas Eve. After Dec. 20, use Priority Mail, which is a two-day service for most of the country. After Dec. 22, guaranteed overnight Express Mail is recommended. Express Mail can be used as late as Christmas Eve at most post offices for Christmas Day delivery.
