Emory Point Stores and Eateries Open their Doors

Retail and restaurant spaces in the new mixed-use development are starting to fill up.

  The Emory Point development has seen a flurry of new business openings in recent weeks, with about a dozen shops and restaurants now operating and several more close to opening their doors. On Friday, Which Wich Superior Sandwiches will open for business, according to the Facebook page for the mixed use development on Clifton Road, just across from the entrance to the Centers for Disease Control. On Thursday, employees were busy training for opening day. Other recent openings include Strippaggio, which opened Friday, and Marlow’s Tavern, which opened earlier this week and had a line of people waiting to be seated for lunch on Thursday, despite the pouring rain.  Celia Turner, the founder of Strippaggio, a shop specializing in artisanal …

Bonefish Grill Opens, Donates $5,000 To Friends Of Music At Emory

The group was selected to mark the restaurant's opening at Emory Point.

To celebrate its opening with the local community, Bonefish Grill selected Friends of Music at Emory as a charity beneficiary and donated $5,000 to the organization. Friends of Music board members, donors and Emory neighbors were invited to a special Grand Opening event on Dec. 8 to enjoy a sampling of the new restaurant's fresh seafood, refreshing cocktails, and spectacular ambiance. The evening raised an additional $3,800 for Friends of Music at Emory through a silent auction and the generosity of donors in attendance.  Bonefish is located at 1540 Avenue Place, suite B-240 in the new Emory Point development. The LOFT Set to Open Friday at Emory Point

The women's clothing store is the latest to open at the mixed-use development.

  The LOFT, a women's clothing chain, is opening its Emory Point location on Friday, according to the development's Facebook page. The store will have a celebration from noon-4 p.m. Saturday, including a chance to win a $250 shopping spree and personal styling session. Emory Point is a mixed-use project across from the Centers for Disease Control and just down the street from Emory University. Women's clothing boutique fab'rik and men's clothier JoS A. Banks have already opened. Several restaurants in the development have been hiring as they prepare to open in coming weeks, including Bonefish Grill, La Tagliatella and Marlow's Tavern. Atlanta-based Cousins Properties is partnering with Atlanta-based Gables Residential on the project.

Now Hiring: Bonefish Grill, La Tagliatella, Ann Taylor Loft at Emory Point

The chains are preparing to open at the new work-live-play development.

  The Bonefish Grill needs employees to open Nov. 19 at Emory Point. The restaurant wants to hire about 100 people for jobs such as host and kitchen staff. The restaurant will have in-person interviews with candidates who apply online. To apply, visit the restaurant's website or the website of its parent company and complete the online application. Sneak Peek: Emory Point's First Stores Opening

Residents have started moving in, and restaurant openings won't be far behind for the first phase of Emory Point.

  Construction crews are busy preparing the store and restaurant spaces at Emory Point for a flurry of openings in coming weeks. Residents are moving in and the women's clothing boutique fab'rik is preparing to open its Emory Point location on Friday, marking the second store to open in the development. Fab'rik Set to Open at Emory Point

Another retailer opens at the mixed-use development in the Clifton Corridor.

  The women's clothing boutique fab'rik is preparing to open its Emory Point location this week. The store's Facebook page says the new location will open Thursday.[Note: The store's opening has been moved to Friday, Oct. 19.] Founded in Midtown Atlanta, the retailer prices most items under $100 and each location carries limited numbers of each piece to reduce the odds that fashionistas will bump into others wearing the same outfit. Fab'rik now has locations in six states. The opening will the second at Emory Point, which recently announced the signing of leases by Burgerfi, Bonefish Grill, Paradise Biryani Pointe, LOFT and Francesca’s Collections. West Egg Owners to Open Jewish Deli at Emory Point

Three women’s boutiques also among latest round of confirmed retailers for new development

West Egg owners are taking on a new adventure. The team behind the popular Westside eatery will open The General Muir, a Jewish-style deli, at Emory Point on Clifton Road. The Jewish deli will serve traditional deli classics, from pastrami and corned beef to chopped liver, smoked fish, and hand-rolled kettle-boiled bagels. The menu will also include innovative takes on traditional deli and Jewish dishes. The restaurant will have a bar, coffee shop and pastry counter. It will be open for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and weekend brunch. Apartments at Emory Point Begin Pre-Leasing

The newest luxury apartment complex near Centers for Disease Control and Emory University is almost complete. Gables at Emory Point started pre-leasing studio, one, two and three bedroom apartments this week. Apartments range from $1,180 to $2,985 per month. Emory Point, a mixed-use development across the street from the Centers for Disease Control, will feature 80,000 square feet of retail space and 443 luxury apartments along with an eight-story, 950 car parking deck. The apartments will be available for August 2012 move in, according to the Gables website. Tammy, I have worked in the Emory area for years and we desperately need more places to eat, shop, and live. Emory University is not the only large point of interest that attracts people to this area. There are businesses employeed by professionals, and yes some of them may have even gone to Emory! Property developer announces latest retail commitments

Emory Point developers Cousins Properties announced on Friday the latest retailers set to open at the mixed-use development. Jasmin Spa, popular taqueria Tin Lizzy’s Cantina and Alpharetta-based Fresh To Order will open at Emory Point. In addition to these Atlanta staples, La Tagliatella, an authentic Italian restaurant based in Madrid, Spain, will open its first U.S. location at Emory Point. "We're thrilled with the mix of retailers and restaurants, which reflects the best in local, national and even international tastes and trends," Mike Cohn, Cousins' executive vice president, said in a statement.
