Knights travel to LaGrange on Friday
The Grady High School boys basketball team is headed to the 2011-2012 GHSA State Basketball Tournament this weekend. The Grady Knights will travel to LaGrange on Friday, Feb. 24, to face Troup High School in the Class AAA matchup. Game time is yet to be announced. The boys finished the regular season 21-4. See the full playoff schedule at the Georgia High School Association website. Inman Middle, Springdale Park Elementary and Morningside Elementary are among several schools that feed into Grady.
Five football players, one baseball player to play college sports
Six Grady High School athletes will have the opportunity to compete in football and baseball at the college level. Aaron Cooper, Dorian Green, Kieno Jones, Quintavious Knight, John Law and Mendez Elder signed letters of intent on National Signing Day earlier this week. Law committed to play football at Appalachian State University despite reports earlier this month that he verbally committed to the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga.
