Thee three ZIP codes that cover most of the Virginia-Highland/Druid Hills community - 30306, 30307 and 30324 - have donated more than half a million dollars to President Barack Obama and Gov. Mitt Romney, according to the Federal Election Commission. Obama raised about $4 for every $1 that Romney has received from these neighborhoods, according to a review of the data. Overall, Obama has raised a little more than $400,000 in the area since April 2011 and Romney has raised a little more than $102,000 in the same time period. Obama has the lead in contributions made by people who donated $1,000 or more in a single payment.
