The fiddle player for the acoustic music trio Nickel Creek is set to take the stage this weekend at Smith’s Olde Bar. Sara Watkins is scheduled to play Saturday, June 9, at 6 p.m at 1578 Piedmont Ave NE. Watkins got her start with the Grammy-winning band Nickel Creek and kicked off her solo career in 2009 after the group went on hiatus to pursue other projects.
