Down trees and power lines blocked many Atlanta roads Thursday night after severe storms swept through the area. Fox Brothers Bar-B-Q in Candler Park suffered extensive damage early Thursday evening when a tree fell on the landmark restaurant, landing on the dining room. Damage was less severe in Virginia-Highland and Druid Hills. Neighborhood streets including St. Charles Avenue were blocked by down trees and power lines, according to reports by residents. A handful of apartments on Briarcliff Road near Virginia Avenue were without power until around 1 a.m. Friday. Residents reported a loud noise around 9:30 p.m., just before the power went out. About 2,000 residents across the Atlanta area were without power as of 10 p.m. Thursday night…
