It’s December, which means many nonprofits are in the midst of community projects such as toy drives or feed the hungry events, while others are soliciting donations before the end of the 2012 tax year. If you represent or volunteer with a nonprofit, you have many ways that you can use Virginia-Highland/Druid Hills Patch to get the word out: 1. Start a blog about your nonprofit or its campaign(s). Let everybody know about your Christmas, Hanukkah and Kwanzaa activities! It's free, and you can post about a wide range of events such as 5K races, Christmas tree sales, fund-raising candy sales and Nativity scenes.
Patch wants to help keep people in Virginia-Highland and Druid Hills connected. That's why we encourage you to post information about Christmas, Hanukkah and Kwanzaa events and activities on the website. This can include holiday parties at your kid's school, fund-raising activities for churches and civic groups, holiday pageants or neighborhood celebrations. The good thing is that it's all free, and it's easy to do. To post something on the calendar of events, go to the "Events" section of the site.
