URBAN REMEDY - A Photographic Essay

Festival Director Lisa Windle will be showing her work URBAN REMEDY - A Photographic Essay at Atlanta Foundation for Public Spaces. The opening reception will be held on January 9, 2014 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Complimentary cocktails will be provided.

Lisa Windle grew up in Staten Island, a suburb of New York City, moving to Atlanta, GA in 2008.  She understands the virtue and consequences of urban density as well as the need to find a sense of personal freedom and breathing room.  Lisa primarily uses digital black and white photography to express her personal journey and experience, often capturing an extraordinary lone tree or bit of seashore that gives the viewer their own 'chance to breathe.'

Lisa is a self-taught artist who absorbs the influences of many great photographers including locals such as Russell Colegrove, Barry Vangrov and Katherine Kolb.
